FAQ's

You are traveling to Guna territory

More than just a tourist destination, it is a living community. Respecting their spaces, traditions, and rules is part of the experience. Here, you are a visitor in a land with history, culture, and pride.

The adventure begins before you arrive

Access includes a 4x4 road journey and a speedboat transfer. It is part of the experience and the natural charm of the archipelago. Get ready to feel the adventure from the very beginning.

Original ID document, always with you

San Blas belongs to the Guna Yala Comarca, an autonomous territory with its own entry regulations. You must present your physical ID (national ID or passport) upon entry. No copies or photos are accepted.

Pack for sun and sea

Choose a comfortable, practical bag that is easy to carry on the boat. Bring the essentials for a beach day: swimsuit, light towel, and everything you need to enjoy without complications.

Bring cash

There are no ATMs on the islands. Entry to the Comarca has a local tax ($22 for foreigners / $7 for residents), and some additional expenses are handled in cash.

Disconnect to reconnect

Cell service is limited across much of the archipelago. And that is part of the magic. San Blas is about watching the sea, listening to the wind, and sharing the moment. Here, the best connection is not digital.

More than paradise islands

Guna Yala is a living culture by the Caribbean Sea.

When you visit San Blas, you are not just exploring white-sand islands. You are entering the Guna Yala Comarca, home of the Guna people — a community with its own language, traditional clothing, and a political structure that remains active to this day.

Decisions about the territory, access, and tourism activities are not made from outside offices. They are coordinated within the comarca itself.

That is why the experience here feels different: less artificial, less intervened, more authentic.
The sea is the protagonist.
Culture is the foundation.
And both coexist in balance.

Trust built with every departure
